Positive: The setting is absolutely stunning. The hotel sits right at the foot of Le Morne, with breathtaking views all around. The layout is particularly well thought out: villas are spread across the property with pools in between, which creates a real sense of space and privacy. Even when the hotel is busy, it never feels crowded. In terms of facilities and location, this is honestly one of the best spots in Mauritius. It’s also extremely photogenic (if you’re looking for an “Instagrammable” destination, this is definitely it).

Negative: There is a mandatory dress code for men in the evening (long trousers and closed shoes after 6:30 PM), which is not communicated in advance. For a beachfront resort, this feels unnecessarily restrictive and somewhat out of place. You can be perfectly well-dressed in smart shorts, yet that’s not allowed, while I even saw people dining in joggers, which feels inconsistent. More importantly, the service is VERY uneven. Some members of the staff (especially client service staff) were genuinely excellent, warm, attentive, and professional. However, others (including people you interact with daily) were noticeably less engaged, sometimes even dismissive. I rarely see such inconsistency in a hotel of this standard. At one point, a waiter spilled soup on my shorts and didn’t apologize, simply saying he would bring a towel, which never came. That kind of experience is disappointing in a 5-star setting. As for the food, while there is a good variety of restaurants (around seven), the quality is inconsistent. The buffet can be excellent on certain nights (the Italian theme stands out), but very average on others. The à la carte restaurants are generally fine, but not particularly memorable, except for the Mauritian restaurant, La Ravanne, which is genuinely very good (and notably does not enforce the trousers-only policy). So while the hotel itself is exceptional in terms of location and facilities, the level of service does not consistently match what you would expect from a 5-star property. That’s not necessarily an issue in itself, but it becomes one when the hotel positions itself as a high-end, luxury experience (e.g., through strict dress codes), without delivering that same level of excellence in service.

Negative: Though to say. There was a situation with our lunch order, they forgot about it, but I guess this can happen. Nevertheless, this won't change our opinion about the hotel.

Positive: The beach was beautiful, the room was spotless and very comfortable, and dinner was excellent every evening. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay.

Negative: Honestly nothing — everything met or exceeded our expectations. We had a perfect stay.

Positive: the location is great, beach was great although not ideal for swimming due to coral, facilities between the 2 hotels are very good, dining options and choices were good, food was good quality in all the restaurants, golf course is great, lots of space in the resort and beach even when full

Negative: the rooms whilst all functional and comfortable, could do with a refurbishment, they seemed a little old and tired, this is perhaps the main thing that has made me rate this an 8, otherwise it would be a 9-10. The pool in the adults area was very small for the number of rooms utilising the pool, I think it should have been at least double the size. The coffee on the beach not so great and below standard.

The location is breathtaking, a true earthly paradise, surrounded by stunning natural beauty and a sense of total tranquility. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel truly cared for throughout our stay. Our villa was beautiful, spacious, and extremely comfortable, offering the perfect balance of luxury and privacy. Breakfast and dinner at the buffet restaurant were outstanding. There was an impressive variety of cuisines from around the world, with countless options to choose from, and everything we tried was delicious and of excellent quality. The beach near the hotel is just as wonderful, pristine, peaceful, and ideal for relaxation and swimming. We wholeheartedly recommend Dinarobin and will most definitely return in the future. It was an unforgettable experience.
